CHS Grandparents Day 2019
On Sunday, March 17, CHS hosted its annual Grandparents Day celebration in honor of our current CHS grandparents and their grandsons. More than 700 guests came together on the school campus to enjoy the day’s festivities.
Students joined their grandparents for an entertaining program in the gym led by our Student Council President, James Tate ’19. The event featured a prayer service led by CHS Student Ministers, as well as stirring performances by the CHS and SJA Chamber Singers and the CHS Jazz Ensemble. The closing of the program featured the Armed Forces Medley recognizing veterans in attendance and all singing “God Bless America.”
A reception, hosted by the CHS Mothers’ Club, was held following the formal program in the Centennial Courtyard and the CHS Union. The CHS Photography Club was on hand to offer memento photographs of our guests as well. Students were also encouraged to give their grandparents a tours of the campus to show them recent campus improvements and the future location of the new CHS Student Center that will begin construction this summer.
