CHS Grappler Jacob Fereday Named Honorable Mention High School All-American
CHS senior wrestler Jacob Fereday has been named Honorable Mention High School All-American by Wrestling USA Magazine. Jacob finished his career with a record of 189-37, giving him the most career wins of any wrestler in the school’s history. Jacob is also a three-time city champion which makes him only the ninth CHS wrestler to accomplish this in the program’s 49-year history. Jacob is a two-time Division I state runner-up and won the Division I state championship in the 170 pound division in February.
Fereday has also been selected as the Star of Stars for the sport of wrestling by The Advocate. The All-American honor for Jacob puts him in an elite group. He is the ninth CHS wrestler to garnish this award under Coach Prochaska, and he is one of only 120 seniors who have been selected for this honor this year.
Jacob plans to attend the University of Tennessee Chattanooga and continue his wrestling career.
