CHS Guidance Counselor Selected to the SACAC Board

Catholic High School Director of College Counseling and Senior Class Counselor Sherry Brouillette, LPC, has been nominated as a board member for the Southern Association for College Admission Counseling (SACAC).  Serving a three-year term, Brouillette will be one of 24 members. 

íÍBeing asked to serve on the SACAC Board is such a huge honor, and I am extremely humbled by this opportunity.  I love working with the boys at Catholic High and am always looking for ways to be on the cutting edge of current admissions trends and topics.  This opportunity will definitely allow me to grow as a professional, and the boys will benefit from my service to the board,íñ commented Brouillette.

As a board member, Brouillette will represent SACAC on the National level.  The SACAC is one of the largest affiliates of the National Association for College Admission and Counseling (NACAC). 

In addition to serving on the board for SACAC, Brouillette is also a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling and serves as a committee member for the Baton Rouge NACAC College Fair.  A current member of the Southern Association for College Admission Counseling, she is a past recipient of the SACAC Larry West Award, the highest honor bestowed on a member of the Southern Association for College Admission Counseling.  She is a former member of the Louisiana Counseling Association and Louisiana School Counselors Association. 

Brouillette has served as guidance counselor at Catholic High for 16 years.
