CHS Junior Jack Broussard Earns The Rank Of Eagle Scout
CHS junior Jack Broussard earned the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 229 on March 27, 2018. To earn the rank of Eagle Scout, a Scout must progress thru six ranks, earn a minimum of 21 merit badges, serve in several leadership positions within his troop and provide service to the community. In addition, a Scout must plan, develop and give leadership to a service project for a religious or community organization. For Jack’s service project he led his troop in cleaning and restriping 100 spaces of the St. Thomas More Faculty parking lot.
Jack has had scouting trips to North Carolina, Arkansas, Georgia and Tennessee, most recently canoeing 61 miles through the Atchafalaya Basin (Swamp Base) camping on islands and houseboats along the trek. Jack has the unique experience of attaining his Eagle in the same troop as his father, David Broussard ’82.
