CHS Lacrosse Club Begins Season with a Jamboree Invitational

The Catholic High Lacrosse Program kicked off its season on Saturday, January 10 with the Catholic School Lacrosse Jamboree Invitational.  There were 16 games over the course of the day with teams from Catholic High, St. Paul’s, Jesuit and Brother Martin participating.

In the morning session, the varsity had a good showing against Brother Martin, winning the game 4-2. Goals were scored by Andrew Young (2 goals), Justin David and Matthew Creel.

In the afternoon session, the varsity lost to Jesuit 6-2, behind a strong performance by Zach Minton in the goal.  The two Catholic goals were scored by Tres Hawkins and Matthew Creel.

Next for the varsity team, they will scrimmage against Loyola on Saturday, January 17, at the Hartley/Vey Park on Gardere Lane. The match will begin at noon.
