CHS Mu Alpha Theta Club Ties for First Place in Math Tournament

Catholic High Mu Alpha Theta Club tied for first place in the Brother Martin High School Math Tournament this past Saturday, January 17. More than 450 students from 23 schools attended the tournament.

Students placing in individual events were:

Calculus:
1st place í Joshua Campbell
2nd place í Joey Balhoff
3rd place í Josh Bishop
Honorable Mention í Andrew Chenevert, Kyle Mann, Landon Pourciau

Precalculus:
Honorable Mention í Blake Mancuso, Josh Worley

Algebra 2:
3rd place í Andrew Ford
Honorable Mention í Josh Brooks

Geometry:
Honorable Mention í Stephen Gaudin

Calculus Math Bowl:

Precalculus Math Bowl:
3rd place í Brennan Burke, Daniel Heltz, Jordi Osuna, Carson Piontek

Comp Math 2:
1st place í Blake Mancuso, Josh Nguyen, Brett Prejean, Josh Worley

Potpourri:
2nd place í Drew Alvarez, Josh Campbell, Connor Goldsmith, Khoivu Nguyen

Students also placed second on the interschool test.
