CHS National Honor Society Contributes to Habitat Build Project

The National Honor Society of Catholic High School recently made a monetary donation to the student-led Habitat Build Project.  This project was embraced by the Catholic High Community, who will sponsor and build a Habitat house on their own.  The cost to build a Habitat house is $75,000.  The Catholic High student body has committed to raise $50,000, and Habitat will then pay the remaining $25,000 for the CHS Habitat Build.

Habitat for Humanity has been active in Baton Rouge since 1989.  Homes are for families with income range of 16 thousand to 32 thousand for a family of four.  Homeowners are required to help with the build by putting in 100 hours of sweat equity.  Today, over 200 Habitat homes have been built in the Baton Rouge area.
