CHS Raises Enough Money To Fund Habitat Build
The Catholic High School Community has raised enough money to fund its own Habitat for Humanity Build.
The CHS students and faculty decided two years ago that they would like to start fundraising to earn the $50,000 it costs to financially support a Habitat build. Since then, there have been various pep rallies, dances, candy sales and other small fundraisers to begin collecting the money.
As a final push, CHS celebrated Habitat for Humanity Week at school from November 4 through the 8. Students and faculty were allowed to wear íÍrelax dressíñ all week with a $20 donation to the fund. At the Fall Sports Pep Rally on Friday, November 8, CHS Principal Lisa Harvey announced that the students and faculty had raised more than $26,000 just that week. This amount, combined with the gifts of generous donors as well as the money raised in the past two years, propelled CHS to the $50,000 needed for their own Habitat Build.
