CHS Senior Kevin Oubre Wins RARC Scholarship
Congratulations to CHS senior Kevin Oubre for winning the inaugural Regional Autonomous Robotics Circuit scholarship (RARC). Kevin was surprised with a Skype call from JoAnn Marshall from the NICERC with the announcement. Thanks to a grant from Lockheed Martin Corporation, Kevin will receive a non-renewable $1,000 scholarship to pursue cyber and STEM at a two-year college or four-year university. Kevin is planning to attend Louisiana Tech University in the fall and study computer science.
The RARC is a series of three robotics competitions for students in grades 2-12. The competitions build upon one another and allow students to showcase their STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) and cyber skills by competing against other students in their division (elementary, middle and high school) in a series of integrated challenges.
