CHS/SJA Chorus Members Selected To Perform with Foreigner
Members of the CHS/SJA Schola Cantorum were invited to sing backup for the British-American Rock Band, Foreigner, at a concert at the Baton Rouge River Center on Thursday, May 13. The concert also included Kansas and Styx.
Foreigner is a supporter of the íÍSave the Musicíñ program throughout the United States. While on tour in the U.S., a choir is selected to perform with Foreigner as part of the program. Each choir receives $1000 for participating and is also competing against all other choirs in the tour for $30,000. The winning choir will be announced at the end of the tour.
íÍThe concert was a complete success and the students had the time of their life. It truly was a high point in their lives and for their director,íñ commented CHS/SJA Chorus Director Stephen Galliano.
Catholic High and St. Josephí´s Academy students performing were Ben Brown, Sanders Davis, Casey Fitzgerald, Brian Fontenot, William Garrett, Will Jenkins, Andrew Loreno, Brian Primeaux, Philip Primeaux, Elliott Rodrigue, Philip Vincent, Adrian Wintz, Sarah Clement, Katie Fredieu, Kristen Gahagan, MacKenzie Hollis, Amy LaVergne, Alexis Nicaud, Meghan Quint, Claire Robichaux, Taylor Turner and Courtney Wolf.
