CHS Soccer Gets Final Regular Season Win Before Heading Into Playoffs

The CHS soccer Bears traveled east down Interstate 12 on Tuesday night for its last regular season tilt. CHS turned in a solid defensive effort and had two goals from Evan Dille and one from Patrick Mensah to blank Mandeville 3-0. The match was also the final tune-up prior to the Division I playoffs.

Here is a brief write-up on the game from CrescentCitySports.com.

The Division I soccer bracket was released and the Bears are the #2 seed. CHS has an opening round bye and will face the winner of #15 seed Jesuit of New Orleans and #18 seed Barbe of Lake Charles.

Third year head coach Josh McReynolds commented on the bracket. “We are pleased to be the #2 seed. We know it will be a challenge whether it’s Jesuit or Barbe. Both programs have a distinct soccer history and we are familiar with both teams.”

The date and time for the second-round match-up will be decided after the Jesuit and Barbe match. St. Paul’s (#1 seed) sits on the other side of the bracket from the Bears and is the defending state champion.
