CHS Soccer Team Had Outstanding Performance Against Dutchtown

The Bear’s soccer team had an outstanding effort against the states 3rd ranked Dutchtown Griffins last night at the Burbank Soccer Complex. The team lost a hard fought contest 2-1 but the playoff type atmosphere will surly help them in their future matches.

The Griffins took a 1-0 lead into half time and extended it to 2-0 midway through the second half. With eight minutes to go in the game, Allen Beal scored for the Bears and the intensity of the match increased. The Bears aggressively attacked the Griffins defense for the remainder of the game and had a many shots that were just out of the range of the net. The Bears record is now 6-6-3 with a district mark of 2-1.

The next action for the team is against Baton Rouge High. The match will take place Saturday, January 14th at Baton Rouge High School. Varsity action starts at 1:00pm with the Junior Varsity to follow.
