CHS Sophomore Earns Eagle Scout Project of the Year Award

CHS sophomore Evan R. James was recognized as the winner of the 2012 Glenn A. and Melinda W. Adams Eagle Scout Service Project of the Year Award for the Istrouma Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.  He was chosen among the 130 Boy Scouts in the Greater Baton Rouge Area that earned the rank of Eagle Scout in 2012.

James managed the building of four large outdoor flower boxes for Saint Francis Xavier Catholic School (SFX). The flower boxes were painted in bright versions of the SFX school colors of blue and yellow, and with the letters “SFX” prominent on the long sides.  The school plans to plant knockout roses in their new boxes in the spring.
