CHS Students Attend First Brothers of the Sacred Heart U.S. Province Student Assembly
Ten CHS students attended the first Brothers of the Sacred Heart United States Province Student Assembly held July 21-23 at St. Stanislaus College in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.
As the three former provinces of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart have united into one province, the plan for a student assembly was created with the hopes of uniting the Brothers of the Sacred Heart (BSH) schools by bringing together student leaders from each of the schools. One of the main goals was to equip the delegates from each school with the knowledge and confidence to return to their schools and present mini-workshops or smaller versions of the student assembly to their peers.
Students from the Brothersí´ schools in the United States and the Philippines attended, and the assembly allowed students to meet one another, work together and strengthen the unity and charism that runs throughout each school in the Province. Each student attending the assembly was paired ahead of time with their íÍCoindre Connection,íñ which is a student from another Brothers of the Sacred Heart school.
íÍI really enjoyed meeting the students from the other Brothers of the Sacred Heart schools. Although many of our schools are not geographically close, through our interactions with each other we were able to see how the spirit of the brothers permeates the school environments in each of our schools,íñ said upcoming senior Chase Brouillette.
Delegates representing Catholic High at the assembly were Andre Aguillard, Chase Brouillette, Connor Burruss, Taylor Empson, William Martin, Lance Rodriguez, Joe Stassi, Grant Telhiard, Andrew Trammell, and Renard Woodard. Faculty members accompanying the delegates were Fiona Conroy and Patrick Dulaney.
