CHS Students Attend HOBY Leadership Conference

Four members of the CHS class of 2016 attended the Louisiana Hugh Oí´Brien Youth (HOBY) Leadership Conference, which was held Friday, June 13 through Sunday, June 15 at the West Baton Rouge Conference Center in Port Allen. Chase Brouillette, John Morvant, Carson Piontek and Joseph Sotile joined students from high schools across the state at HOBY where they learned about leadership, critical thinking and the importance of community service.

Founded in 1958, HOBYí´s mission is to provide lifelong leadership development opportunities that empower individuals to achieve their highest potential. Throughout the weekend, students participated in hands-on leadership activities and met state leaders in areas such as business, government, education, media and the non-profit sector.

Representatives from CHS are chosen each year to attend Louisiana HOBY Conference through an application process based on school involvement.
