CHS Students Respond to Need of the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank
Catholic High students responded to the needs of the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, that was at its lowest level of supplies since Hurricane Katrina. Between August 19 and August 31, CHS students collected 6,315 pounds of food and raised $4,000. This donation will enable the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank to provide over 32,000 meals.
As encouragement to their fellow classmates, Mrs. Edith Thornton’s Art II, III and IV classes used their creativity to build a food sculpture of the CHS “C” and cross logo.
