CHS Swim Team heading to Sulphur for Division I State Meet
Less than one month from now, the CHS swim team, led by coach Doug Logsdon, will head to Sulphur for the Division I state meet. This week on the schedule is, “Always fun as a coach”, says Logsdon, “Because we solidify our roster for the city meet, continue to build depth, and try swimmers in different events to start finalizing our thoughts for Sulphur.”
This Sunday, the Bears will head to Nicholls State University in Thibodaux for a dual meet with pool power Lutcher High School. First splash is for 1:00 pm.
Eight seniors dot the Bears’ roster and five have recorded qualifying times for Sulphur. Harrison Say, Daniel Woodruff, Brian Miller, Cameron Richard, and Thomas Baxter are the five seniors that have qualified for CHS.
After the Lutcher dual meet at Nicholls, the Bears will compete for its 28th consecutive City title on October 27th/28th at Crawfish Aquatics in Baton Rouge. The meet gets underway at 1:00 pm on both days.
City will be the final tuneup for Sulphur as the Bears look to win another state championship as it clashes with perennial power Jesuit.
