CHS Swim Team Prepares for Season Opener at McGill-Toolen Invitational

The CHS swim team will hit the pool this Saturday at the LSU Natatorium for a joint practice with SJA. The CHS swimmers will compete against each other in the 200 Medley relay, 200 Free, 200 IM, 50 Free, 100 Fly, 100 Free, 100 Back, 100 Breast and 200 Free Relay.

Longtime swim head coach Doug Logsdon is eager to see his 2016 club compete.  “It will be a good chance to see how much we have improved from last year,” noted Logsdon, a CHS alumnus from the class of 2002.  “Our guys are looking forward to the practice on Saturday in the best swim facility in the state.  We will spend time focusing on starts and turns because LSU has the best blocks and bulkhead in the state.  It will be a great experience to kick off the 2016 season.”

The Bears open the season on September 16 and 17 in Mobile, Alabama, at the McGill-Toolen Invitational. The squad is swimming toward another state championship in November.
