CHS Tennis Bears Take the Win at McGill-Toolen Invitational
The Catholic High School Tennis Team won their fifth consecutive McGill-Toolen Invitational Tournament. The eleventh edition of the tournament was held in Mobile, AL March 12-13 and included teams from across the gulf south. The Bears overcame stiff competition from Gulfport High School (MS), Pensacola Catholic (FL), Huntsville (AL) and in-state rival Br. Martin. In total, the team went 9-3 in doubles and 20-4 on the singles court. Notable contributions were made by seniors Carson Chassaignac and captain Brady St. Martin, as well as juniors Ashton Ellis and Charlie Fremaux.
The Bears will be back on the court this weekend as they scrimmage Pensacola Catholic Saturday at The Country Club of Louisiana. Matches begin at 11:30.
