CHS Track & Field Captures Josten’s Invitational

The CHS track and field team continued its winning streak by capturing the Josten’s Invitational at Episcopal High School on Thursday night. The Bears scored 148.33 points and won six events to distance itself from Episcopal, Zachary and Dutchtown.

Kam Cummings had a double on the evening, winning the 110 Hurdles in 14.3 and the 300 Hurdles in 39.0. Zach Tom threw 56-5 to win the shot put and Jacob Thornton launched the javelin 178-1 for the top spot. Jared Sapia cleared 12-9 in the pole vault to best all jumpers in the event.  

The 4×400 team put an exclamation point on the evening in the meet’s final event, by hitting the wire first in 3:23.53.
