CHS Track Members Participate in Mobile Challenge of Champions

Members of the Catholic High Track Team were selected to participate in the Mobile Challenge of Champions track meet in Mobile, Alabama April 5th and 6th at St. Paulí´s Episcopal Track.

More than a 1,000 athletes from around the country competed in the two-day event.

Catholic High 4×800 relay team of Michael Comeaux, Ryan Palmisano, Matt Rhorer and Joe St. Cyr took first place with a time of 7:59.4, the third fastest time ever recorded at CHS.   The CHS 4×400 relay team of Khalil Thomas, Matt Rhorer, Phillip Rodman and D.J. Woodard took first place with a time of 3:19.1, which ranks them 17th on the CHS all-time fastest list.

The 4×100 relay team of Khalil Thomas, Ken Ward, D.J. Woodard and Arthur Price took third place with a time of 42.34.  Taking 4th place were Ken Ward in the 110 hurdles with a time of 14.10 and Ross Quinlan in discus with a distance of 147-2. 

Also placing in the Challenge of Champions were Arthur Price, fifth place in 110 hurdles with a time of 14.95; Cameron Tom, 7th place in Shot Put with a distance of 49-9.75; and Garret Broussard, 8th place in Shot Put with a distance of 48-7.5.
