CHS Track Team Captures District Title

With a total of 228 points, the Catholic High track team not only captured the district title but also qualified for 29 spots in next week’s Region 2 qualifier.

Individual results are Marcus Thomas, second place in boys 100-meter dash and fourth place in boys 200-meter dash; Beau Roberts, fifth place in boys 100-meter dash and second place in boys 200-meter dash; Jeremy Tinsley, first place in boys 400-meter dash; Jace Guerin, third place in boys 400-meter dash; Brian Lumpkins, second place in boys 800-meter dash; Julian Parker, third place in boys 800-meter dash; Patrick Walker, boys 1600-meter dash; Daniel Gascon, fourth place in boys 1600-meter dash; Philip Primeaux, second place in boys 3200-meter run; Andrew Ellender, sixth place in boys 3200-meter run; Marcus Lasseigne, second place in boys 110-meter hurdles and second place in boys high jump; Jarrad Pitcher, third place in boys 110-meter hurdles and first place in boys 300-meter hurdles; Jeremy Stewart, second place in boys 300-meter hurdles; Henry Minor, third place in boys high jump and first place in boys long jump; Stephen Durel, first place in boys pole vault; Mark Rolfsen, second place in boys pole vault; Todd Lee, fourth place in boys long jump; Jonathan Keys, first place in boys triple jump; Raphael Malbrue, second place in boys triple jump; Cody Muse, second place in boys shot put and second place in boys discus throw; William Verrett, sixth place in boys shot put; Andrew Lowery, fifth place in boys discus throw; Thomas Lawler, third place in boys javelin throw; and Bo Strange, fourth place in boys javelin throw.

Results in team events are Henry Minor, Todd Lee, Marcus Thomas, Thomas Broussard, Andrew Rhorer and Beau Roberts – first place in boys 4X100-meter relay; Marcus Thomas, Todd Lee, Jeremy Tinsley, Thomas Broussard, Andrew Rhorer and Beau Roberts – first place in boys 4X200-meter relay; and Beau Roberts, Julian Parker, Jarrad Pitcher, Jeremy Tinsley, Jeremy Stewart and Andrew Rhorer – first place in boys 4X400-meter relay.
