CHS Wins 11th Annual Challenge Day
Catholic High won the 11th Annual Challenge Day against St. Joseph’s Academy on Friday, March 13. With a score of 12 – 5, the Bears are now ahead 6 – 5 in the yearly meeting between the two schools.
“Challenge Day is an event that takes the participation of the entire school community. The weeks leading up to Challenge Day I was able to witness the true sense of community and brotherhood that CHS strives for. Between students practicing until 9pm to standing outside in the rain asking for donations for the food drive, the school came together to achieve a common goal…and boy did we achieve it,” commented CHS Student Council President Pierce Hill ’15.
CHS won the Memory game, Braid Game, PVC Pass, Uniform Swap, Free Throw Shootout and Egg Toss. SJA won Ping Pong Transfer and Spirit Competition.
As part of the competition, each school began with one point for each meeting their goal in the Food Drive competition. Together, the two schools collected over 95,000 pounds of food that was donated to the Baton Rouge Food Bank.
