CHS Wrestlers Take Third In Catholic High Duals

The CHS wrestling team took 3rd in the Catholic High Duals on Saturday, Dec. 3. The Bears posted a 4-1 record on the weekend and Jacob Fereday went undefeated on the weekend in the 170 pound division. Fereday is now 21-1 on the season.

The Bears defeated Division I rivals Zachary (78-6), McKinley (63-18) and Dutchtown (69-9). The Bears defeated Division III power Brusly by a score of 46-31. The lone loss for CHS was to Alabama power Hoover High. The dual ended in a 31-31 tie, but the Bears lost to Hoover on the ninth tiebreaker criteria. You read that correctly. Ninth tiebreaker!

The Bears are 7-2 on the season in dual meets and will travel to New Orleans to face the defending Division III state champion in De La Salle on Wednesday, Dec. 7. First whistle is at 6:30 p.m. at the De La Salle gym at 5300 St. Charles Avenue.
