Class of 1960 Honored at 50-Year Reunion
Catholic High School honored its 50-year graduates, the class of 1960, at a reunion on campus Saturday, May 15, 2010.
Also honored were the 60-, 65-, 70- and 75-year graduates from the classes of 1950, 1945, 1940 and 1935. The event was sponsored by the CHS Alumni Association.
The evening began with Mass at Sacred Heart Church celebrated by Reverend Paul A. McDuffie.
Participating in the Mass were 1960 class members Joe Darby, Lynwood Ourso, Russell Gauthier, Glenn Constantino, Joe DiGerolamo, Anthony Musso and Deacon Zeke Nola. Also participating in the Mass were Brother Eldon Crifasi, SC, Rannie Kean, Connie Nola, Sandra Ourso, Davis Hotard and Jeffrey Hotard.
Following the Mass, honorees gathered in the Catholic High Centennial Courtyard and the Health & Physical Education Center Plaza for a social.
The school gymnasium was the setting for a steak dinner prepared by the CHS Mení´s Club and organized by Pete Hymel, Junior Politz and Al Wintz. Acting as waiters for the evening were members of the Key Club, under the direction of Scott Losavio and Remy Coss_. Gene Tullier, CHS president, served as master of ceremonies and Brother Eldon, director of alumni relations, emeritus, led the blessing before dinner. Glen Randow, CHS director of alumni relations welcomed the graduates and their guests. Camp Matens provided reminiscences for the 50-year graduates and Chris Jones, president of the CHS alumni board of directors, recognized the class honorees.
Commemorative diplomas were presented to the 50-year graduates, and engraved plaques were given to the members of the 60-, 65- and 70-year reunion classes.
This yearí´s president of the Alumni Association is Chris Jones. Glen Randow, director of alumni relations and Barbara Camp, alumni events coordinator, organized the event.
