Class of 1965 Honored at 50íYear Reunion Mass and Dinner
Catholic High School honored the classes of 1965, 1955, 1950, 1945 and 1940 at the 50-Year Reunion held on the CHS campus Saturday, May 2, 2015.
The class of 1965 began the evening with a Mass at St. Josephí´s Academy Chapel celebrated by Reverend Donald Blanchard. Participating in the Mass were members of the class of 1965, Bill Kleinpeter, Richard Ribes, Bill Huey, Danny Nesbit, Tom Balhoff, Tommy Kleinpeter, George Bayhi, James Briggs, Randy Bonnecaze and Lloyd Plaisance.
Following the Mass, honorees gathered at the Catholic High School gymnasium for a social and steak dinner prepared by the CHS Mení´s Club and organized by Mike Lamana í´64 and Junior Politz í´53. Student servers for the evening were members of the CHS Key Club, under the direction of moderators Scott Losavio í´95 and Tracy Ducote. Brother Eldon Crifasi í´39 led the blessing followed by Pledge of Allegiance by Ferrel Guillory í´65. Glen Randow, director of alumni relations, served as master of ceremonies. Guests were welcomed by Gene Tullier, president of CHS and Jamie Segar í´90, director of advancement. Mike Martone í´65 and Lloyd Plaisance íî65 provided reminiscences for the 50-year graduates as part of a video presentation prepared by Jared Cavalier, vice principal for instruction and technology and faculty member, Sheri Schoonmaker, and students in the multi-media class.
Commemorative diplomas were presented to the 50-year graduates and special gifts were also given to the members of the 60-, 65-, 70- and 75-year reunion classes.
Randy Ellis í´65 was the chairman of the 50-Year Reunion committee. Glen Randow, director of alumni relations, Barbara Camp, associate director of alumni relations and members of the alumni association board of directors organized the event.
