Congratulations to CHS junior Roland Toups and CHS sophomore Trevor Turner for receiving awards for their work with the Young Entrepreneurs Academy of Baton Rouge (YEA BR).
Young Entrepreneurs Academy of Baton Rouge is an after-school program that teaches young men and women in grades 8-12 how to start and run their own company. Hosted at the LSU E.J. Ourso College of Business, students work with business school instructors and local entrepreneurs to create a business plan, pitch their idea to investors for seed money, register their business with the state and launch their company.
Toups received a $2,000 seed investment award for his business MULTIVUE, a photography company utilizing drone technology in the fields of landscaping and real estate. Turner was awarded $1,000 in seed investment funds for his company DormMenity, a service that provides delivery assistance and storage facilities for university students moving on campus.
Congratulations to these two young entrepreneurs!
