Cross Country Bears Take Second in Walker Invitational

The CHS Cross Country team had an impressive showing in Walker this past weekend.  The varsity team had an impressive run to garner second place honors in the 45 team competition while the freshman continued their undefeated season with their fifth consecutive invitational team title. 

The varsity team was led by Cole Stafford, who won his fifth consecutive race of the season; Joseph St. Cyr (6th); Brian Primeaux (14th); Brennan McLean (34th); and Michael Edmonson (36th). 

Other scorers were Keith Aldrich and Cody Favaro in 40th and 43rd places respectively.  More than 380 runners took part in the varsity race.

In the junior high race the undefeated freshman team placed eight runners in the top 20 to dominate the competition.  The Bears were led by: Brandt Green (3rd), Alex Landry (6th), Michael Comeaux (8th), Daniel Grant (10th), Hamilton Warner (12th), Thomas Bozeman (14th) and Mathew Mire (16th).
