Cross Country Takes Fifth Consecutive Metro Title

In the most fierce competition ever staged in the history of the Metro Championships the íÍBig Orange Waveíñ came away with their fifth consecutive team title.  The Bears were tied with the runner up Episcopal team and the meet was decided by virtue of the higher finish by the Waveí´s #6 man.

The Bears placed five men in the top twelve ( Cole Stafford – 2nd, Joseph St.Cyr í 5th, Mac Hoffman í 7th, Brian Primeaux í 11th and Ben Ross í 12th).  #6 runner Cody Favaroí´s 18th place finish provided the team with the necessary points to win the title and Daniel Babin finished closely behind in 21st place. More than 250 runners took part in the competition.

This week (Tuesday, November 16th) all eyes turn to Natchitoches for the state championships.  The 5A race will begin at 2:45 p.m. on the Northwestern State University campus with the Bears hoping to be one of the top finishers in the team competition.
