Dale Weiner Selected as State Finalist for USA Today Best High School Football Coach

CHS Head Football Coach Dale Weiner has been selected as a state finalist for USA Today High School Sports first-ever Best High School Football Coach.

Eight head coaches were chosen as finalists in each state by USA Today staff members after discussions with local media and other state football experts. A winner for each state will be decided by online vote, and advance to the regional round, which will be followed by the national vote.

Weiner began his 27th season as CHS Head Football Coach this year. During his time at CHS, he has been recognized with many accolades, including the President Gerald R. Ford All-American High School Coach Award, District Coach of the Year and State Coach of the Year. He has coached CHS to more than 20 state playoff appearances, and more than 100 of his football players have gone on to play at the collegiate level.
