Eight Catholic High Students Honored as Nationally Recognized Scholars

Eight Catholic High seniors have been named National Merit Semifinalists and three have received National Merit Commended honors in the National Merit Scholarship Program. 

Joseph Balhoff, Josh Bishop, Julien Bourgeois, Joshua Campbell, Andrew Chenevert, Matt Comeaux, Connor Ortego and Simon Silverberg are National Merit Semifinalists. 

Joseph Balhoff is the son of Kathy and Dan Balhoff and attended St. George Catholic School.  Josh Bishop is the son of Ainsley and John Bishop and attended St. Aloysius.  Julien Bourgeois is the son of Diane and James Bourgeois and attended St. George Catholic School. Joshua Campbell is the son of Sharon and Darren Campbell and attended St. Aloysius.  Andrew Chenevert is the son of Kellye and Roy Chenevert and attended Most Blessed Sacrament.  Matt Comeaux is the son of Lisa and Aaron Comeaux and attended St. Jude the Apostle.  Connor Ortego is the son of Gwen and Kevin Ortego and attended St. George Catholic School.  Simon Silverberg is the son of Marla and Joel Silverberg and attended St. Jude the Apostle. 

David Aguillard, Robert Flechas and Max Slezak are named National Merit Commended Students.
David Aguillard is the son of Darlene and David Aguillard and attended St. Aloysius.  Robert Flechas is the son of Michelle and Enrique Flechas and attended St. Aloysius.  Max Slezak is the son of Maggie Faulkner and Dan Slezak and attended St. Aloysius.
