Eighteen CHS Students Qualify for State in District Rally
Eighteen Catholic High students achieved scores at District Literary Rally that qualify them for State Rally at LSU in April.
Placing first at District Rally were Brandon Heap, Accounting I; Parker Say, Advanced Math í Functions and Statistics; Hunter Rube, Advanced Math í Pre-Calculus; Mark Babin, Calculus; and Kevin Ortego, World History.
Finishing second place were Joseph Balhoff, Algebra II; and Adam Thompson, Computer Science.
Third place finishers Kenneth Hingle, Civics; Mike Le, English II; Chase Brouillette, French II; Richard Gaudin, Journalism I; and Parks Winder, Spanish I.
Also qualifying for participation at State Rally based on their scores were Joseph Stassi, fourth in English I; Joshua Worley, fourth in French I; Jackson Gonsoulin, fourth in Spanish II; Giuliano Campesi, fifth in Biology II; Tyler Peairs, fifth in Psychology; and Joshua Bishop, fifth in Spanish III.
A school can only send one person per subject to State Rally; therefore, if Catholic High had first and second places in a subject, only the first place student will attend State Rally.
