Eighth Annual CHS Alumni Sporting Clay Shoot
The Eighth Annual Sporting Clay Shoot was held Saturday, October 15, at Hunterí´s Run Gun Club in Port Allen, LA. CHS alumni, family and friends participated in a 50-target walking course designed for CHS by the staff at Hunterí´s Run to simulate certain hunting situations. There were 18 teams competing for top team honors and additional individual awards for Top Gun and Most Potential.
The Top Team award went to Russel Young, Joel Gautreaux, Matt Gates and Mark Jarreau from Corrosion Technical Services. Randy Brown was awarded the coveted Top Gun award.
Jonathan Miller í´13 won the award for Best Young Score and Joseph Lemoine was presented the Young Gun award for being our youngest participant.
A delicious lunch was provided by Serranos Salsa Company and drinks were provided by the Baton Rouge Coca Cola Bottling Company.
Thanks to Mark Emonet í´80 and Flint Virgets í´78 for co-chairing this yearí´s Clay Shoot committee. Other committee members were Camp Matens í´60, Dana Vutera, Glen Randow, director of alumni relations and Barbara Camp, associate director of alumni relations. Thanks also to Dana Vutera & Associates for providing the winning team and individual medals.
