Eighth Grade Track Team Wins CSAL Meet

The CHS eighth grade track team won the CSAL meet on Saturday, April 20. The Bears won seven events, set two CSAL meet records and broke five CHS eighth grade school records in their pursuit of the title.

Winners were:

Triple Jump:  Kam Cummings, first place and set meet and school records with a distance of 38-0

Long Jump: Clyde Edwards, first place and set school record with a distance of 19-1

100m Hurdles: Kam Cummings, first place and set meet and school records with a time of 13.3

100m: Clyde Edwards, first place with a time of 11.6

400m: Kam Cummings, first place and set school record with a time of 53.5; Garret Tate, fifth place with a time of 2:23.3

800m: Andy Keim, first place with a time of 2:16.5; Matthew Howell, third place with a time of 2:23.3

1,600m: Andy Keim, third place with a time of 5:08.4; Matthew Howell, fifth place with a time of 5:15.7

4x100m Relay: Garret Tate, Joseph Buete, Kam Cummings and Clyde Edwards, first place and set school record with a time of 47.5
