Eleven CHS Seniors Recognized with Catholic Youth Leadership Award
Eleven CHS seniors were recognized as Catholic Youth Leaders by the Knights of Columbus at the Area F Founder’s Banquet on Saturday, March 23, 2013, which was held in the St. Aloysius gym and hosted by the St. Aloysius Knights of Columbus council.
Each council recognized one boy and one girl. This recognition is given to young Catholic adults who have well exemplified Catholic leadership in their community and have made outstanding achievements in high school. Each student recognized will receive a scholarship from the Knights of Columbus council that selected them.
CHS students recognized were Patrick Blanchard, Trey Fruge, Trevor Heap, Matthew Herrera, Stephen Hurdle, Austin Lala, Travis Lindsey, Jacob Oubre, Adam Prevot, Ben Schexnayder and Bennett Sherman.
Bennett Sherman was selected to advance to the state competition as the 2013 Area F male winner and will receive an additional scholarship for this recognition.
