Evan Dille And Stephen Gaudin Received Congressional Appointment To U.S. Naval Academy
CHS seniors Evan Dille and Stephen Gaudin received a Congressional appointment to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, on Monday, Dec. 11, 2017. Dille and Gaudin were nominated by Congressman Garret Graves, CHS alumnus from the class of 1990. Graves called CHS to personally congratulate and announce the news to the seniors about their appointments.
Each member of Congress can have five constituents attending the Naval Academy at any time. As the undergraduate college of our country’s naval service, the Naval Academy prepares young men and women to become professional officers of competence, character and compassion in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. Naval Academy students are midshipmen on active duty in the U.S. Navy.
Dille and Gaudin will attend the academy for four years, graduate with Bachelor of Science degree and commissioned as an ensign in the Navy or second lieutenant in the Marine Corps. Naval Academy graduates serve at least five years in the Navy or Marine Corps.
