Fairbanks Tosses Second Career No-Hitter
Tuesday was a scrapbook kind of day for CHS senior Brian Fairbanks, as he tossed his second career no-hitter and knocked in four runs in the Bears 11-1 victory over Denham Springs. Fairbanks, a LSU-Eunice signee, struck out three hitters in his five inning no-hit performance. The senior right hander threw seventy-one pitches, with forty going for strikes versus the Yellow Jackets.
The Bears racked up 11 hits before the game was called by the 10-run rule. Brandon Fairbanks, Tristan Welch, Will Ethridge and Josh Smith each collected two hits on the evening.
The Bears are now 17-4 on the season, and won their state-leading twelfth game in a row.
