Five Seniors Receive National Recognition as Semifinalists

Five members of the Catholic High School Class of 2006 have been named semifinalists in programs sponsored by the National Merit Corporation and the College Board.

National Merit Semifinalists are Nick Boudreau, son of Eileen and Thomas Boudreau, Brian DeJean, son of Ann and Ronald DeJean, Sam Harbourt, son of Maureen and Tom Harbourt and Grayson Young, son of Rebecca Young and Scott Young.

Receiving recognition as a National Hispanic Scholar is Trey Tumminello, son of Mari and Vince Tumminello.

National Merit Commended Students are Ben Arceneaux, son of Sue and Darin Arceneaux, Brett Burke, son of Lisa and Bill Burke, Daniel Devillier, son of Janelle and Bobby Devillier, Brad Fossier, son of Anne and Paul Fossier, Brandon Harper, son of Natalie and Tony Harper, Alex Major, son of Claire and Rich Major, Daniel Morgan, son of Chris and Michael Morgan, Derrick Philippe, son of Cheryl and Doyle Philippe, Stephen Richard, son of Ren_e and C.J. Richard, and Scott Sulik, Jr., son of Joan and Scott Sulik.
