Football Bears To Host Brother Martin In Division I Quarterfinal Matchup

The no. 3 seeded Bears will host the  no. 6 Brother Martin Crusaders in a Division I quarterfinal matchup on Friday, Nov. 18, at Olympia Stadium.  Kickoff between the Brothers of the Sacred Heart programs is set for 7 p.m. It will be the third consecutive year that the two storied programs meet in the quarterfinals.  Both teams have been nationally ranked at different points of the regular season by a reputable high school sports website.
Brother Martin is led by running back Bruce Jordan-Swilling, a Georgia Tech commitment, and Houston commitment Jeremy Singleton at receiver.  Patrick Swilling, also headed to Georgia Tech, heads the defense from his cornerback position.  The Crusaders have won six games in a row after a 2-3 start in which they lost to national powers Karr and John Curtis, along with Division I quarterfinalist St. Augustine.  Brother Martin is coached by Mark Bonis.
