Four CHS Swimmers Named All-Americans
The 2014 CHS Swim Team finished the 2014-2015 high school swim season ranked 66th in the 200 freestyle relay in national rankings recently released by the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (NISCA). Click here to view the All American list.
The relay team of Colin Bone, Nick Seagraves, Nick Romero and Brady Grenfell have been named All-Americans by NISCA for setting a school and LHSAA composite record with a time of 1:25.17. Ití´s the fastest 200 free relay swam in the history of the LHSAA and broke Jesuití´s record from 2009. Bone, Seagraves and Grenfell were also part of the Bears 400 free relay that set the LHSAA composite record in the 400 free relay in 2013 and achieved All-American consideration times in both the 200 free and 400 free relays. Bone also made the All American list individually ranked 45th in the country in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:38.80. Bone has the two fastest times in LHSAA and school history. In his sophomore year he set the division and composite record in the event at 1:38.58. Colin was also ranked 39th in the country in the 100 free when he set the LHSAA and Division 1 state record at 0:45.06. This is Coliní´s second year achieving All-American status in multiple events from NISCA and he is the school record holder in the 50, 100, 200 and 500 free and was part of the school record 200 and 400 free relays along with Brady Grenfell, Nick Seagraves, Nick Romero and Jackson Forbes.
