Freshman Golf Team Closes Out Season With Win Over Episcopal

The CHS freshman golf team shot a 179 to defeat the Episcopal JV team on a gorgeous, but windy Wednesday afternoon at historic City Park. Paul Bourgeois shot a 41 to finish with the low score of the day. Connor Broome shot a 43 to finish second and Noah Bahlinger placed third with a 46.

The freshman Bears wrapped up their season with three team victories, and showed marked improvement in the last three months. Ben Johnson, Murphy Valluzzo and Keegan Asmus were major contributors to the team’s success. The six freshmen golfers will join varsity freshman Jonathan Ellis, as a force to be reckoned with on the links in the years to come.
