Golf Team Ends Regular Season With A Victory

As the regular season comes to a close, the Bears took its last opportunity to defeat an area golf power at Greystone Country Club in Denham Springs.  The Bears scored a winning score of 321 to Zachary’s 333 to defeat the crosstown rival on the links.

Junior Carson Caruso was the top individual medalist, shooting an even par 72 to lead all golfers by a wide margin.  Fellow junior Will Perilloux was second in the match with an 81, outscoring all Zachary golfers.

Senior Nick Ashy turned in an 83 for the Bears and helped put some comfortable distance between his team and the competition.

The golf team returns to action on Saturday, April 7, at two locations on the road.  The Bears will travel to Lafayette to test The Wetlands Golf Course, site of the Division I state tournament and take to the road to New Orleans for the Brothers of the Sacred Heart Tournament at City Park’s Bayou Oaks Course.  The Bears will have a split squad compete as they prepare for its post-season run.
