Golf Team Opens Season With a Victory over Parkview and BR High

The Catholic Golf team teed off the 2016 season with a ten stroke victory over Parkview Baptist and Baton Rouge High.  The Bears were led by freshman Carson Caruso with a 38 on LSU’s par 37 front nine.  The Bears holed a 166 to outpace Parkview Baptist, who shot 176 as a squad. Baton Rouge High shot a 250.

“It was great to finally get the season started.  This team has some great expectations based on the goals we have set.  While we weren’t at our best on opening day, we anticipate improving as a team through hard work and attention to detail on the course. It is always good to open the season with a win,” said head golf coach Pat Dulaney.

The 2-0 Bears are back on the links today with a match versus area golf power Denham Springs and Runnels. Tee time is set for 3 p.m. at Beaver Creek in Zachary.
