Hi-Y Participates in Youth and Government Conference

Catholic High students participated in the Hi-Y, Youth and Government Conference, March 1-3, 2012, in Baton Rouge.  Students attended Youth and Government committee meetings, held at Southern University, and then spent an entire day debating their bills in Chamber at the Louisiana State Capitol building.

The bill, written by Taylor Dizor and Joseph Angelloz, to include Domestic Violence Education in all high school health classes, made it through the House and Senate and was signed into Youth and Government law by the Governor.

The club also raised funds to support the Youth and Government State Service Project:  The Wounded Warrior Program.
