To prepare for the beginning of the Easter Triduum, the CHS Student Ministry hosted a Holy Thursday/Holy Hour experience for our students, faculty and staff. Centered in the gym, students had several options to engage in individual prayer and personal reflection.
There was an area for journaling where students could write a prayer for themselves, their family, the Church, or the world. They could also write questions or thoughts to offer up to God as they placed them in the “Basket of Doubts.”
In addition, there were areas for students to read scripture and spiritual books, as well as pray the rosary and Eucharistic Adoration. Students could also retrace Christ’s steps as he made His way to Calvary through Stations of the Cross artwork designed by CHS freshmen art students.
Students also placed their Rice Bowl collections at the foot of the cross. The money donated is in support of Mission Amatongas, the Brothers of the Sacred Heart school in Mozambique. The school is run by Brother Chris Sweeney ’84.
