Hoopsters Come Up A Little Short

The Bears raced out to an eight point halftime lead, highlighted by Tensley Aldredge’s 14 points, but could not hold on against Dutchtown and lost 53-52. The loss dropped the Bears to 17-13 in District 5-5A, and put a damper on Senior Night for the eight seniors who played their last regular season home game for the Bears.

Aldredge led all scorers with a season high 26 points. Fellow seniors Austin Lachney chipped in eight and Dean Jolly added seven in the losing effort. Jolly, Remy Robert, Hunter Williams and Tyler Mixon hit three point shots for the Bears. In earlier action, the CHS junior varsity team blew out the Griffins 70-22.

CHS is back on the court on Friday, Feb. 17. The Bears will make the short hike to McKinley with tip off set for 7:15 p.m.
