Indoor Track Team Wins Seventh Consecutive State Title

The CHS Indoor Track Team won its seventh consecutive Division I State Title held Saturday at LSU. The Bears had a total of 97 points finishing ahead of Covingtoní´s St. Paulí´s (38), Zachary (32) and Edna Karr (28).

Ken Ward recorded the nationí´s top time winning the 55-meter hurdles in 7.35 seconds. 

Placing for the Bears and leading to their seventh state title were:
Individuals:
Garret Broussard
í shot put, first with a toss of 52 feet, 6 _ inches.
Cameron Tom í shot put, third with a toss of 50 feet, 1 _ inches.
Chance Stephens í high jump, third with a distance of 6í´4íñ
