Kevin Miller Signs To Play Basketball at Xavier University

Senior Kevin Miller has signed to play basketball at Xavier University in New Orleans.

Miller was District 5-5A Most Valuable Player in 2009 and the 2008 District 5-5A Defensive Most Valuable Player. He was All District for the past two years and was All State second team in 2009.

‘Kevin is every coaches dream player; he has the God given talent, the right work ethic combined with outstanding character,’ commented Head Basketball Coach Kemper Todd.

Miller serves as team captain and was selected the team’s Most Valuable Player. He was the leading scorer with 15 points per game and well as the leading rebounder averaging 7 rebounds per game.

‘I chose Xavier because of the great pharmacy school and the environment. It feels like home and I think I can reach my full potential there and enjoy myself. It has always been a dream to play college basketball, and I am excited about continuing my career,’ commented Miller.

Dannton Jackon head basketball coach at Xavier, joined Miller for the signing.

‘Kevin is a great student, great basketball player and great person,’ commented Jackson. "We are excited to have him as part of the Xavier family,’ added Jacson.

Kevin is the son of Angela and Darryl Shiloh and attended Our Lady of Mercy Elementary School.
