Key Club Hosts District Rally

On Saturday, September 28th, Catholic High hosted a rally for Key Club Division 8B of the LaMissTenn District. Lieutenant Governor and CHS junior, Erik Guidiel, led members of the CHS and SJA Key Clubs in planning the event around the Alice in Wonderland inspired theme, íÍDown the Rabbit Hole of Service.íñ

During the day, more than 60 members from CHS, SJA, Parkview, and McKinley Key Clubs were inspired to find a way to serve by Keynote Speaker, Nathaniel Hearn, and learned about ways to serve in forums describing the Rustic Pathways and Project Eliminate organizations.  That service began with each Key Clubber bringing an item for the Our Lady of the Lake Childrení´s Hospital and a portion of the registration fees being designated for Project Eliminate.  A lot of fun was had as well playing games and participating in the íÍcrazy hatíñ contest.

Key Club is the oldest and largest service organization for high school students.  The CHS Key Clubí´s next service project will support the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast on October 19th at the LSU Assembly Center.  Tickets can be purchased by from a Key Club member or by contacting moderator Tracy Ducote at tducote@catholichigh.org.
