Key Club Students Attend International Convention

Catholic High School students attended the 66th Annual International
Key Club Convention in Dallas, Texas held July 1-4, 2009. Students attending were Brett Falgoust ’10, 2008-2009 Division 8A Lt. Governor and 2009 CHS Key Club President; and Ryan Frick ’10, 2009-2010 Division 8A Lt. Governor. The boys participated in a one-mile walk to benefit Children’s Miracle Network.

‘This was my second year to attend the International convention, and Ryan and I both had an outstanding time. Not many Key Clubbers even know there is an International Convention, so Ryan and I have devoted ourselves to spreading the word throughout the division so other teens can have this great experience as well. Next year the convention will be held in Memphis which is in our district, so we plan on attending again with more Key Clubbers representing Catholic High and the division,’ commented Falgoust.

During the awards night of convention, Brett was recognized with the Robert F. Lucas Outstanding Lieutenant Governor Award. After the awards presentations, the delegates were entertained by a hypnotist. While in Texas, the boys attended a Texas Ranger baseball game, toured the Sixth Floor Museum, and spent two fun filled days at Six Flags over Texas and Hurricane Harbor.
